Delight My Fire, Taurito, Niklas Lovén, Radim Bodlák, Cheltenham

After an interval of four years, two Czech-trained horses will run in the UK, at Cheltenham on Friday, December 9th. Czech-trained horses run very frequently nowadays in Italy, France, Slovakia, Germany and Poland, and occasionally in Hungary, Switzerland and Sweden. However, the long journey to the most famous steeplechase course in the world is not only a rarity, but an event that arouses great interest in the Czech horseracing community.

Headwear at Kolesa

On a bright but chilly afternoon at Kolesa last Saturday, our season came to an end. There is not much protection from the elements at Kolesa, and a combination of grog, mulled wine and winter clothing protected the racegoers. Here is an exhibition of photos of headwear from Kolesa. November 2016 newsletter

October 2016 was autumnal. There was a fair amount of rain, the days got shorter and the afternoons got chillier. This year, like most years, we have had very little soft going, and when it finally arrived, in mid October, the season was almost over.
