The first three-day Festival of Swedish Racing was held at the new Bro Park racecourse in Stockholm on September 9^th – 11^th, with two major race days and a yearling sale.

However, about half an hour after the last race, three men armed with machine guns barged into the main grandstand and demanded the cash from the tote. Luckily noone got injured and the robbers only got away with quite a small amount of money. The police have yet not caught the robbers.

They say there is no such thing as bad publicity, and the Swedish media have been giving massive amounts of free exposure to the fine new racecourse in Stockholm.
